BIG ADVENTURE

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch.  My daughter graduated from High School two weeks ago.  Needless to say, not only have I been unbelievably emotional, but also crazy busy the past few weeks.  So with this being one of my first trips back into my scrapbook room to create this project, I decided to make graduation my theme.  To pull this project together, I used polka dot paper from Doodlebug Design and also cardstock stickers and a strip of paper from Doodlebug Design's "Dragon Tails" collection since my daughter's former school mascot was a Viking.

SUN FUN

This is my latest project for Sketchy Board Challenges using the following sketch.  This month's featured item to use somewhere on our project was the flamingo.  I decided to reach into my picture archives and use two pics of my niece and nephew playing with a flamingo inflatable toy in my pool a few summer's ago.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Echo Park's "Summer Fun" collection.

LOVE...

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff using the following mood board as inspiration.  My daughter took a variety of pictures of herself in her new favorite outfit on Easter a few weeks back.  I featured a black and white version of the picture in a previous project.  For this project, I decided to use the color version.  The aqua of the pool and orange and pink of the patio furniture reminded me of elements found in the mood board.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Scrapbook Customs's "Tribal" collection along with buttons and butterflies from my stash of embellishments.  I also used a sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls as inspiration as well.

PRETTY GIRL

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration's Thursday Stash challenge.  Each week we are asked to rummage through our stash of scrapping supplies and feature a product that we may not use regularly on a project.  For this challenge, I chose ink.  I love using ink on projects, especially when I'm working with black and white pictures.  I like how it gives the project a vintage feel which I especially wanted to do with this picture.  My daughter bought a new outfit for Easter, and was very excited to have her picture taken wearing it.   I also decided to use one of my favorite Sunday Sketches to accent the picture.  I used a variety of papers from The Paper Studio's "Ninth Street" collection making sure to ink all the corners.  A few black flowers with rhinestone centers & alphabet stickers from Doodlebug Design's "Abigail" collection were the final touches to pull this project together.

NEW YORK CITY

This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  My daughter's Media Arts class took a field trip to New York City two weeks ago.  In four days, my daughter saw four live tapings of popular US television shows, a Broadway play, and all sorts of landmarks throughout the city.  She had the time of her life.  I dare say this was the highlight of her entire four years in High School.  So I decided to feature some of her pictures and memorabilia on this project using Kaisercraft's "Let's Go" collection.

SOCCER HOBO

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff.  This week's challenge was to create a project with a weather theme.  I was trying to decide what type of layout I wanted to do while I was hiding in my car from a torrential rainstorm before a soccer game.  My daughter's soccer season has been very....wet to say the least.  But the strange thing is, the nastier the weather, the better her team does.  I was watching her walk towards the stadium with her soccer gear tucked safely away in her most useful piece of equipment this season; the Hefty trash bag. I quickly snapped a picture of her after she tossed her trash bag over her shoulder and thought, "What a perfect subject matter for a weather related layout!"  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers including cloud paper from Bella Blvd's, "Simply Spring" line and soccer paper from Bo Bunny's "Game On" collection.  Finally, I was inspired by the following sketch from my former design team "2 Broke Girls" when organizing this project.

NAMASTE

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch.  For this project, I decided to feature two of my favorite pictures from a recent senior picture photo shoot my daughter had done.  It was a gorgeous early spring afternoon.  She was having a blast having her picture taken in various parts of nature trail. The next thing we knew, she plopped down on a trail and struck a yoga pose.  That's what I love so much about her; she's serious one minute and a goof the next.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from The Paper Studio's "Ninth Street" collection.
