This is my first project of the year for Sketches in Thyme's Design Team. For this challenge, I decided to go with a Valentine's theme even though these are Christmas pictures. This is my dear little dog Lila. For Christmas, I got her a cute poinsettia collar clip on that she wore the entire season. My daughter is starting to have fun taking pictures and captured these two of Lila chilling in her room. I absolutely love how she captured her. Because I loved the pictures so much (and I love my dog more than I like most people), I decided these would be the perfect subject matter for a Valentine's themed project. To pull the project together, I used a variety of Valentine papers from Crate Paper's "La La Love" line.

LIVE WITH INTENTION
This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration for the Friday Mini Crop. This month's challenge is a New Year's theme, so I decided to do a "resolution" themed project. Right after Christmas, I went to the Hobby Lobby. It's my happy spot. I was looking at signs, and this one, featured in this layout, literally fell on my head when I was in the aisle. I decided that this was a sign from the universe that I needed to heed. So I bought the sign and made a resolution that this year I'm going to take a closer look at my life and live with more intention. Less focus on the silly stuff and more focus on what is important. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Jen Hadfield's "Heart & Home" line and the Sunday Sketch from January 12 because I loved the simplicity of the layout.

ZEN AS HECK
This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration. I am in charge of this week's Thursday Stash challenge where we pick an object from our stash of scrapbook materials and create something with it. I decided to use my Creative Memories circle cutters. These were one of the first items I bought when I started scrapbooking, and they have been one of my biggest go to items in my scrap room. I used the January 6 sketch as a guide and created a project featuring a picture of my daughter and one of her friends "meditating" in the snow last winter when they were at a local hill sled riding. Guess they had to get in a better spot mentally before they headed down the mountain...To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Crate Paper's "Snowflake" collection.

NC
This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch. With this layout calling for a frame, I wanted to find a picture that made a statement. I found the perfect one. My daughter and her club soccer friends attended a Women's University of North Carolina Chapel Hill soccer game back in November when they were at a Showcase Tournament in Raleigh, NC. They had a blast and made sure to pose under this large "NC" emblem outside of the soccer stadium. To pull this project together, I used a variety of soccer themed papers from Bella Blvd and Doodlebug Design and cut frames until I framed the pic of the girls. A few white chipboard swirls, a star, and a soccer ball sticker finished the project in no time.

NEW YEAR'S BABY
This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff Challenge and the first one for the new year/new decade. Our challenge this time around was "Anything Goes." So I decided to feature the newest member of my family; our German Shepherd puppy Woody. My beloved dog Aro passed away unexpectedly in November. He was my best friend. And I mean that in every sense of the word. I loved him more than I love many people. He was my rock. Right before he passed, I whispered to him, "When it is time, find us the perfect boy who needs a home. We will take care of him." Well...I think some divine intervention happened. A friend of mine from high school breeds and rescues German Shepherds, and this guy needed a home. So on New Year's Day, we brought this baby home sent to us from a special boy across the rainbow bridge. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Hobby Lobby's "The Paper Studio" collection. I was also inspired by a sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls.

MERRY EVERYTHING
Happy New Year! This is my first project for the year for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch. A few weeks ago before Christmas, one of my daughter's best friend's cousin took them to a local nature preserve and took holiday pictures of them. They had so much fun posing in the late autumn foliage. This is my favorite taken of my daughter on this day. To say she had a tough Fall of 2019 would be an understatement. It was heartwarming to see her smiling and having fun outside. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Hobby Lobby's "The Paper Studio" Christmas/Holiday collection to give the layout a vintage/farmhouse Christmas feel.

WANDER OFTEN WONDER ALWAYS
Happy New Year! This is my first project for my blog and for Sketchy Boards Challenge for the New Year using the following sketch as a guide. Since the project called for a beach theme, I dug into my Costa Rica pics from this past summer and picked to of my favorites to feature. My daughter and I were standing outside our bungalow admiring the Pacific Ocean. What I wouldn't give to be standing in that spot right now...To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Kaisercraft's "Tropics" line.
