NO GRASS STAINS NO GLORY

This is my latest project for Use Your Stash.  This week's challenge was to create a project using enamel dots.  I loved this picture of my daughter and her best soccer buddy at the end of a weekend long soccer tournament. It was blazing hot that weekend, my daughter hurt her arm during game one of the tournament, and the final game was won in penalty shots.  Needless to say, it was an extremely physically and mentally challenging weekend for everyone.  I was inspired by the sun setting in the background of the picture, and decided to turn my soccer ball print paper into a large "sun" and used the black enamel dots that the challenge called for into the soccer ball sun's rays.

DREAM IT DO IT

This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme using the following sketch.  This was a day I've dreamt about for many years; the day my daughter got accepted to college.  And not just any college; she was admitted to my alma mater; Miami University.  We have been on Cloud Nine since she received her acceptance email (first picture featured in the trio of pictures).   To pull this project together, I used a variety of subtle patterned papers from Coredinations in grays and reds.

WOOF

This is my latest layout for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  This time, I was inspired by my dogs.  I take so many pictures of them.  Probably because my humans hardly ever let me take their picture anymore.  My dogs never complain.  These are a few of my favorites that were taken within the past year.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Authentique's "Companions" line.

MY HERO

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff.  This week's theme is to make a project featuring a "furry friend."  So I decided to feature my favorite furry fire dog; my chihuahua Lila.  My oldest daughter decided to drive her dog to the fire house to visit her Dad.  My dog was in heaven.  She had so much fun running around the fire house and posing on the fire trucks.  We seriously think she was depressed when she got home.  To pull this project together, I used a brick paper from Ella & Viv to replicate a fire house and Reminisce Diamond Plate paper like what is found on a fire truck.

KEEP LIFE SIMPLE

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch.  I got to check one of my items off my bucket list last year.  I always wanted to go to Waco, Texas to see Chip & Joanna Gaines's "Magnolia Silos."  Last October, I got to go with a few friends.  This is one of my favorite pictures I took while there.  I'm not one to take pictures of myself, but I had to document this particular event.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of Pebbles "Simple Life" collection.

THE WONDERS OF WINTER

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration's "Thursday Stash" challenge.  For the challenge, we are to use something in our stash that we don't typically use and highlight the item on our project.  I decided to dip into my large stash of snowflake die cuts.  I love snowflakes.  I love to use them on projects, but typically I only need to use one or two of them.  However, when you buy die cuts at a store, the package typically has WAY more than you actually need.  So I decided to continue using a pack of snowflake die cuts I bought a while ago when creating this project.  And the beauty of a snowflake, each one is different, so you don't need the same die cut throughout the project.  A win/win for this page!  To pull the layout together, I used a previous sketch featured on the Creative Inspiration Blog on November 4, 2018 and a variety of papers from Crate Paper's "Snow & Cocoa" collection.

HAPPY MEMORIES

This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  My daughter is a Senior this year, and I've been a bit reflective the past few months.  This sketch with its pictures lined up I thought would be perfect to highlight pictures of my daughter throughout her elementary school years.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers and cardstock die cuts from Kaisercraft's "Documented" collection.

THE GOLDEN LAMB

This is my latest project for Sketchy Boards Challenge using the following sketch.  One of my family's holiday traditions is to go to a local destination called The Golden Lamb that is the oldest fully functioning hotel and restaurant in the state of Ohio.  Every Christmas, they decorate it to look like colonial times.  Its is simply fabulous!  Everywhere you go in the building is a Kodak moment.  So to pull this project together, I used a variety of Authentique's "Nostalgia" papers.
