TAG! YOU'RE IT!

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff challenge.  The task for this week is entitled "Tag! You're it!" or in other words, create a tag.  I love making tags.  Not only are they a quick project to pull together, but also they are a wonderful way to use scraps of paper that are accumulating in my work space.  My children and husband love sports, therefore I have an abundance of sports themed paper piling up in my scrap room.  Everything used to construct these tags were scraps including the tags themselves.  The only thing I purchased was the football sticker that "Brutus the Buckeye" is kicking in tag one.  And trust me, there will be plenty of opportunities to use the other footballs in the sticker package.  If you are in a crafting rut, I highly encourage you to make a tag.  These are fun, quick projects that will get your juices flowing again.

SO THIS HAPPENED

This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme using the following sketch.  I was inspired by the paint splatters on the design, and decided to do a project featuring painting.  And the artist was...my dog.  My daughter watched a video of a puppy painting, and she decided our Chihuahua was the next abstract artist.  So using safe paints, my daughter and her dog did their version of puppy art!  To pull this project together, I used a variety of Bella Blvd papers that reminded me of an artist's brushstrokes on a canvas.

IT'S A MARSHMALLOW WORLD IN THE WINTER

This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following design.  It is winter in Ohio where I live, and it has arrived with a vengeance.  When I created this page, I was off work because the temperatures were too low for the children to come to school.  But it's never too cold to scrapbook, let alone scrapbook pictures of my kids playing in the snow.  I picked a few of my favorites over the years of my kids stomping around in fresh powder in my yard.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Authentique's "Alpine" collection along with the "Wintery" collection that my sweet husband bought for me for Christmas.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

This is my first post of the New Year for Use Your Stuff.  The theme for this week's challenge was "Something New."  I decided to feature a picture of my daughter and her best friend on New Year's Eve 2017.  (Yes...it was last year, but it was too cute of a picture not to scrapbook!)  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from the Simple Stories "Happy New Year" collection.

DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW

I've been keeping a secret for a little while, but I found out at the start of December that I was selected to be a member of Sketchy Boards Challenge design team! I love to work with sketches, and this team does not disappoint.  If you love to scrapbook, but feel that you lack the time to create pages, I highly encourage you to like us on Facebook to access the wealth of sketches this team produces.  Not only are the sketches beautiful, but the designs are simple to recreate.   This is my first creation using the following sketch.  Every Christmas season, my family & I go to dinner at a historical restaurant in a neighboring town that outdoes itself with decorations.  However, this year, I was recovering from a foot surgery & was unable to attend. My only request was for my husband to take a few pictures of our girls.  He did not disappoint.  These are a few of my favorites that he took that night.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Authentique's "Wintery" collection along with snowflake die cuts and sequins I've accumulated over the years.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Happy New Year!  This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  On Cyber Monday, I gave my husband a few hints about what he could get me for Christmas at some of my favorite online scrapbook stores...He MORE than came through for me.  (It's because he's a closet scrapbooker; he actually helped me layout the second page of this project).  One of his buys was this lovely Photo Play "Mad 4 Plaid" collection.  I chose some of my favorite pics from this past Christmas to use with some of my favorite prints from this collection.
