PINCH PROOF

This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme using the following sketch.  Since St. Patrick's Day was this past Tuesday, I decided to feature some of my favorite pictures of my daughters on a St. Patty's day several years back.  It was a warm Spring day, and my girls were having so much fun riding their bikes, climbing trees, and showing off their St. Patrick's Day t-shirts.  I thought they would be the perfect subject matter to feature for this sketch.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Authentique's "Dublin" collection.

THIS IS HOW I ROLL

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration's Friday Mini Crop.  This month we are featuring projects using die cuts.  When I decided to create a soccer project, I knew I would use Doodlebug Design's Soccer die cuts, what I was not expecting to use were the retro shaped frames surrounding the picture.  I was playing around with different shapes to add some jazz to my page, and I felt that these retro squares fit the bill.  They reminded me of soccer nets at each side of the field.  I put scraps of patterned paper behind each frame to give the page more visual interest.  A few green stars accenting the black frames were the final finishing touch I used on this project.  To pull this project together, I used a Creative Inspiration sketch from July 14, 2019.

YOU ARE MY HOME...

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration's Thursday Stash challenge.  For this challenge, we are to dip into our stash of supplies to create a project.  Typically, I pick an item I've had for a long time to feature, but this time around, I picked a brand new item to my scrapbook room; the My Mind's Eye "Gingham Gardens" collection.  I loved the pastel colors and farmhouse vibe; a perfect combination for a springtime layout.  My daughter's best friend took this picture of her last Easter, and I thought it would be the perfect photo to feature on such spring like paper.  I was also inspired by the following Creative Inspiration sketch featured as the July 7, 2019 Sunday Sketch.

GOOD VIBES HAPPENING ON THE TIDES

This is my latest post for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch.  I am fortunate that I have travelled to some pretty amazing locations over the course of my life.  One of my favorite spots that I hope to return to sometime soon was Portland, Maine.  It was absolutely picturesque.  Everything I ever imagine a New England town to look like was exactly Portland, Maine.  The scenery was beautiful.  The salt in the air was intoxicating.  So when my Authentique, "Voyage" collection was delivered from Scrapbook.com, I knew exactly that pictures of Maine would be the perfect subject matter for this challenge.

WOODY AT MIAMI

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff.  This bi weekly challenge involved using one of our favorite embellishments on a project.  One of my favorite items to include on layouts are banners.  I like premade ones like the kraft colored ones draping the picture.  I like strips of paper layered on top of each other that tie into the main papers of the layout.  I think banners add the perfect oomph to a layout.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of patterned papers from a variety of sources including Lawn Fawn's "Werewolf Polka" and Carta Bella's "Christmas Plaid" that match my daughter's college school colors.  I was also inspired by the following sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls.

KIND HEART...

This is my latest project for Sketchy Boards using the following sketch.  Since the inspiration for the project was black with hints of yellow, I decided to use a few of my favorite pictures of my daughter containing hints of yellow.  The downtown section of my hometown is extremely picturesque.  Not only are their beautiful murals everywhere, but also cute alleys with fairy lights dangling.  My daughter's friend took these snapshots of her one Spring evening.  These pics not only contain the black and white the inspiration sketch called for, but also they take my breath away.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from The Paper Studio's "Ninth Street" collection.
