BOSTON

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration's September Mini Crop.  The theme was "Back To School," & we were asked to create a project with a school theme.  I teach American History.  One of my bucket list places to go was Boston, Massachusetts; the epicenter of the American Revolution.  The one thing I wanted to do while in Boston was to go on the Freedom Trail that stops at important locations during the colonists' fight for independence.  My dream came true, and the tour was incredible!  I think it's important to add historical anecdotes into my lessons to help bring the content to life.  My tour guide did NOT disappoint.  So being the history nerd that I am, I asked to have my picture taken with him at the end of our trip.  To pull this history theme project together, I used a combination of British and American theme papers because both places play a pivotal role in the history of Boston.  In addition, I was inspired by the placement of papers in the Sunday Sketch September 8 sketch & followed it in pulling this project together.

SOCCER

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch.  For this week's challenge, I was inspired by pictures my daughter took of herself with her soccer friends during team picture day.  She is so excited to be playing for her High School team.  She is even more excited wearing number 17; Tobin Heath's jersey number (her favorite US Women's Soccer player).  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Scrapbook Custom's "Pride" line because the colors were the same as my daughter's school colors.

HELLO FALL

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff using the following mood board as inspiration.  I absolutely love the fall.  I love the colors, the smells, the tastes, the scrapbook paper...And one of my favorite things to do is to go to the pumpkin patch.  This picture was taken five years ago of my daughter and I at one of our favorite local fall stops.  We posed on pumpkins, got insanely delicious caramel apples.  I thought it was the perfect picture to use to go along with the mood board which contains ALL of my favorite fall colors.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Ella & Viv's "Fall Rustica" line along with the sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls.

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch.  For this project, I was inspired by this picture of my daughter and her best friends on their first day of high school.  I liked how this particular sketch highlighted one picture with various layers of paper, and thought this picture would be perfect for the layout.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Kaisercraft's "Documented" collection.

ALMA NOVE'S

This is my latest project for Sketchy Board Challenge using the following sketch.  Since the project called for the use of stars with a boy featured, I thought of the perfect combination for this layout.  Back in June, my cousin and I travelled to Boston, Massachusetts.  We each had things we really want to see while we were there.  I wanted to go on the Freedom Trail where the major Revolutionary War events happened.  She wanted to go to Alma Nove in Hingham, Massachusetts were the Wahlberg Family started the original Wahlburgers restaurant and Paul Wahlberg opened the restaurant "Alma Nove" in honor of his mother.  We made the trip to Hingham, and my cousin was elated when we were seated on the patio of Alma Nove.  So imagine her surprise when Paul Wahlberg himself, one of the stars of the TV show "Wahlburgers," came outside and posed for a picture with her.  Even more exciting, he was the chef who made our lunch!  So in honor of this boy star, I made a project commemorating this moment.

SOCCER STAR

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff where we were asked to make a project with a sports theme.  Soccer season has started up again in our house.  My daughter eats, sleeps, and breathes soccer.  So for this project, I decided to feature three of my favorite action shots that I took of her at a soccer tournament last Fall.  She was ferocious trying to get the ball from the other team.  She was fun to watch throughout the game.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Doodlebug Design's "Goal" collection.  I was also inspired by this sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls.

TIME FLIES

This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme using the following sketch.  I was inspired by the circle at the top of the page when I started planning this project.  I kept thinking, "clock..." So I started inventorying my pictures and thought, "graduation..."  My oldest graduated from High School in May and is getting ready to leave for college in tomorrow.  I decided that a graduation themed page would be a perfect subject for a layout with a clock.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Kaisercraft's "Documented" collection.
