This is my double page layout for the month of March for Stick it Down. I have to admit, if I don't get to an ocean this year, I may lose my mind! I found this adorable Graphic 45 vintage beach paper, and I instantly thought of a trip my family and I took to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 2010. We went in October, a little too cold to swim, but a perfect time to see dolphins migrating to warmer waters from the North Atlantic. I thought this sketch was perfect to highlight these pictures and showcase the beautiful nautical paper designs!

PHOTO OP
This is my latest creation for RCS. The theme for this bi-weekly challenge was the 80's classic "Beaches" starring Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey. I remember going to this movie on a first date....That wasn't smart.....I was a little tear stained by the end! No more spoilers! Our challenge was to create a project inspired by the beach. That was WAY easy given the winter we have had in my neck of the woods! What I wouldn't give for a beach getaway right now! I thoroughly enjoyed going through all my beach pictures and papers to create this layout! We were outside a restaurant in Panama City, Florida, and my girls just had to pose with this grumpy guy and his surfboard. And since they hate me taking pictures of them anymore, they had no problem posing with a scowl on their face like this cutie pie statue!

CHEERS!
I'm a little late getting this posted to my blog....This was for the Child's Play Challenge design team. The challenge was make a project inspired by pipe cleaners. About two years ago, two very important events happened in the month of November....I discovered Pinterest and Yuengling came to Ohio. My husband LOVES this beer. He actually had a pipeline of people bringing him beer every time they traveled through Pennsylvania or a state that sold Yuengling. All that changed in November 2011...So as I was browsing Pinterest for the first time, I found this cute project that turned bottles into reindeers using pipecleaners, googly eyes, and pom poms. So I thought to myself, "I have the perfect gift for my husband!" And he loved them so much, he never even drank the beer! They are currently sitting on a shelf in his man cave for everyone to enjoy!

TODAY IS MY LUCKY DAY
This is my latest creation for RCS. The inspiration was the movie "The Lucky One." In other words, create a project that is inspired by St. Patrick's Day. I absolutely HATE winter...By March, I'm in such utter winter depression that I look for any reason to have fun and celebrate something. I have absolutely no Irish blood pumping through my veins, but my husband does. So we celebrate St. Patrick's Day to it's fullest. We have corned beef, cabbage, potatoes for dinner, and the girls, when they were little, were always willing to rock the leprechaun look wearing funky hats. I found this St. Patrick's Day paper from Moxxie of derby hats and I thought, "Hmmmm....I have the perfect picture for that!" It was "my lucky day" finding that paper!

ASHLEY'S 21'ST BIRTHDAY BLOGHOP!
We are so glad you could join us! If you've come from Madge's blog, you're in the right place! If you have just come across the hop and would like to start at the beginning, please visit Ashley at Made Especially For You.
This weekend we are celebrating Ashley's 21st Birthday with some fun and creative, birthday/alcohol-themed projects! It's not 21 without a drink or two, right?!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DEAR, PAPER LOVING FRIEND ASHLEY!
I met Ashley a year ago when she launched "Red Carpet Studio Challenge Blog." It was my first official online crafting design team, and I'm so happy that she took a risk on a newbie like me! Over the year, we've become good Facebook friends, and she has even entrusted me to take over the administrative duties for RCS while she is finishing up school. She is always available to walk me through the myriad of technological problems that make we want to drink! I wish you all the best on this milestone birthday. Someday you will enjoy getting carded....I promise!
