This is my latest creation for Sketches in Thyme using the following sketch. This has always been one of my favorite pictures of my daughter. We were in Chicago getting ready to head back to our hotel from lunch. My husband and I are from a small town in Ohio; hailing taxis is not in our comfort zone. So him and I were saying, "You do it!" "No, you do it!" Next thing we know, our six year old has her hand up in the air and hailed the taxi in this picture. Him and I looked at each other like, "What just happened?" She has always been a take charge girl; this is photographic proof. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Bella Blvd's "Let's Go" line.

HARRY POTTER
This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff along with Double Trouble Challenge Blog. For Use Your Stuff, we were to create a "magic" themed layout. For Double Trouble, we needed to include one or more elements from the bingo board found below. My immediate thought when planning this project was Harry Potter. My family has loved everything about Harry Potter, especially my oldest daughter, since the release of the first book. She has always been my faithful Harry Potter companion. We've gone to book openings together along with opening nights of movies. In the layout, we were at a Deathly Hallows release party at our local Barnes and Noble book store. To pull this project together, I used a variety of Harry Potter themed papers from Reminisce's "Worlds of Adventure" and Color Play's "Wizard World" collection. I was also inspired by the placement of the papers in the layout from my former design team 2 Broke Girls Challenges. From Double Trouble, I used silver & gold embellishments, the sentiment, and the die punches.

TWO PEAS IN A POD
This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch. For this project, I was inspired by a new pad of "The Paper Studio" paper I bought at the Hobby Lobby called, "The Pink Passport." With it being so girly, I decided to feature pictures of my teenage daughters when they were smaller acting like little ladies. Once I picked the pictures, I converted them to black and white to keep everything uniform.

BFFS
This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff. This week our challenge was to create a project using hearts and/or red and pink. I decided to do both with this layout. I was inspired by the heart filter on top of my daughter's pictures, so I decided to go full on Valentine's Day for this project. I used a variety of papers from Hobby Lobby's "The Paper Studio" collection and borrowed the large heart as a design element from my design team "Sketchy Board Challenges" to pull this project together.

SO SWEET
This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch. For this layout, I was completely inspired by the papers from Crate Paper's "Carousel" collection. I've had these papers in my stash for a while, but wasn't quite sure how to use them. As I looked at this sketch, it struck me...Navy Pier! My husband and I took our girls to Chicago ten years ago, and they had a blast riding all the rides at Navy Pier. I decided to feature a few of my favorites for this page.

EVERYDAY WITH YOU MAKES ME WARM
This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch. This past week where I live we have been in the grips of a polar vortex. What does that mean? That means where I live in the midwestern USA it was colder here than it was in Antarctica. So in the spirit of the cold weather that gave me a few unexpected days off school to play in my scrap room, I decided to create a project featuring my daughter when she was tiny playing in the snow. To pull this project together, I used Doodlebug Design's Petite Prints in Stone Grey as the background and a variety of papers from Authentique's "Frosted" collection to build the layout.

I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK
This is my latest project for Sketchy Board Challenges using the following sketch. I absolutely love these pictures of my daughter. She had just discovered her Dad's camera, and decided to have a photo shoot with some of her friends at a local candy shop in our hometown. I've been waiting for the perfect sketch to scrap these pics. Since I love them so much, when I saw the heart on the sketch, I knew I had found the perfect template for these pictures. I used a variety of heart papers from Doodlebug Design and a variety of papers from Hobby Lobby's The Paper Studio line to pull this project together.
