ON FIRE

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff.  This week's challenge was to use primarily black and white on the project and a pop of color.  I happened to come across this picture of my daughter in my ever growing stash of photos.  I loved the flames circling her head from the Snapchat filter so I decided that orange would be my color pop on this project.  The black and white papers are from Bella Blvd's Illustrated Faith's "Faith over Fear" collection.  Finally, I was inspired by the sketch below from my former design team "2 Broke Girls."

SILLY PUPS

This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme.  With St. Patrick's Day happening this past week, I wanted to create a project in honor of the holiday.  When I think of St. Patrick's Day, I often think of silly pranks done by the Leprechaun on unsuspecting people.  Well, that kind of happened to me when I was putting this project together.  As I was going through my pictures on my phone trying to decide what I wanted to do for this project, I found these two pics of my daughter and her friends horsing around with a Snapchat dog filter that I had no clue existed.  I was so excited to find these unexpected silly pictures that I decided they would be the perfect subject matter for a St. Patty's Day layout.  I used a variety of Doodlebug Design's "Lot's O Luck" paper to pull the project together.

HAPPY EASTER

This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  With Easter around the corner, I was inspired by pictures I took of my daughter, niece, and nephew coloring Easter eggs last year.  They take Easter egg dying so seriously.  It truly is one of their favorite things to do together each year.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Authentique's "Eastertime" collection.

LAZY DAYS

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff.  This week our challenge was to use either real or faux stitching on our projects.  I decided to go the faux route.  I love sloths.  Cuddling with a sloth is one of my bucket list items.  But until then, my Mom got me the cutest sloth pillow for Christmas, and my dog Penny loves it.  I found her curled up on my bed with the sloth, snapped a pic, and decided she would be the perfect subject matter for this project.  For the stitching part of this project, I used stitching patterned paper from Photoplay's "Snuggle Up" line.  The bonus was discovering that the sloth patterned paper was a part of this collection as well!  To pull this project together, I was inspired by the following sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls.

UDDERLY AWESOME

This is my latest project for Creative Inspiration using the following sketch.  For this project, I decided to feature clay figurines my daughter created for a stop motion project she did for her college class.  She has always had a talent sculpting with clay.  When I saw these little critters, I knew I had to take a picture of them and document her art.  (Especially since the stop motion was about animal testing, and several of these little creatures were going to "lose their life" to animal testing in her video).  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Doodlebug Design's "Down on the Farm" collection.

AIM FOR THE WINNER'S CIRCLE

This is my project for Creative Inspiration's "Thursday Stash" project.  Each month, a DT member creates a project using an item from their stash that they may not use regularly. Since I'm the featured designer for this month's "Thursday Stash," I decided to break out my corner punch as this month's featured item.  I love this little gadget.  I often forget how a curvy corner can add so much character to a layout.  For this project, I featured pictures of my daughter during a weekend trip to Gatlinburg with her three best friends.  While I got to hang out at the coolest scrapbook store ever, Your Scrapbook Superstore in Sevierville, Tennessee, my husband took the girls to a go cart track around the corner while I shopped.  The girls had a blast racing each other.  And while they were busy taking laps, I was busy buying the papers for this layout from Carta Bella's "Work Hard Play Hard" line along with Creative Imagination's "Old Guys Rule" collection.  To pull this project together, I also used the Creative Inspiration March 3 sketch.

SOCCER

This is my latest double page project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  When I saw the sketch, I thought of a timeline.  So I decided the perfect subject matter for a timeline sketch would be pictures of my youngest daughter throughout her years as a soccer player.  I have pictures of her from her first recreation soccer league to her current club team.  To pull this project together, I used soccer ball paper from Hobby Lobby's "The Paper Studio" collection along with cardstock embellishments from Bella Blvd's "Soccer Ephemera" collection.

HAPPY GO LUCKY

This is my latest project for Sketchy Board Challenges using the following sketch.  For this project, I decided to go green in honor of St. Patrick's Day this month.  I used to buy my girls St. Patty's Day t-shirts when they were little.  We did anything we could to try to break up the monotony of the winter months, and the girls loved dressing up like little leprechauns.  After St. Patty's Day, my girls would wear them all the time; it didn't matter the season.  These are a few of my favorites of my youngest daughter sporting her St. Patty's Day shirts at various times during the year.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Doodlebug Design's "Lot's of Love" collection.
