I love all things plaid, so I was THRILLED when I saw this challenge! And as fate would have it, my daughter and her BFF's got matching green tartan plaid pajama bottoms for Christmas that they decided to wear for a photo shoot. I thought they would be the perfect subject matter for a tartan plaid project. Even though this picture was taken a few days before Christmas, I thought the Photo Play "Lucky Charm" collection with all its assortment of green plaid papers would be perfect to showcase a picture of my daughter who is beyond lucky to have such a great group of friends.<p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-47677080844698175632021-02-28T21:00:00.001-08:002021-02-28T21:00:03.311-08:00LET'S GET SKETCHY: BLESSED ARE THE CURIOUS...<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_1iKsk7aIZ2hJ9dxmghIjpd4lQU7PATXgFozyYcL5WLdn_9yd_yAEz7QUKoBUED_iTbI4XYhFMN1Zfg3NI-iqLn6tXubm5UMwZxMPywd9dbRjgSwVlpWKrZDm5KC1JGjgNXmYsVEzj19b/s823/lgs+blessed+are+the+curious+march+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="823" data-original-width="823" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_1iKsk7aIZ2hJ9dxmghIjpd4lQU7PATXgFozyYcL5WLdn_9yd_yAEz7QUKoBUED_iTbI4XYhFMN1Zfg3NI-iqLn6tXubm5UMwZxMPywd9dbRjgSwVlpWKrZDm5KC1JGjgNXmYsVEzj19b/w200-h200/lgs+blessed+are+the+curious+march+2021.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>This is my latest creation for Let's Get Sketchy using the following sketch. When I saw that the layout called for 3 pictures, I wanted to make sure I had a grouping that told a story. And this is one of my favorite stories. When my daughter and I took a girl's trip to Costa Rica, around 4:00 PM each day, a group of capuchin monkeys would come literally hang out on our porch. We had a mango tree right outside our room, so we would cut up little pieces of mango and feed our little friends. It was one of the greatest, coolest moments of my life feeding these little cuties. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Kaisercraft's "Havana Nights" collection along with tropical flowers from Prima.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzIcg3fIUf-RRTKXq5IBaoAiJoNDjfccBTxhcBZ88Lqc6r6w4pv-WJb5qXPJw65-a0SgSmZ5irAt6JCWL2FUrTc9nFIxEpWhHP6ax0kLGXFAzOt64wj5j4_lgDxsYxpAwdDbcaW0rIaPSA/s960/lgs+march+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzIcg3fIUf-RRTKXq5IBaoAiJoNDjfccBTxhcBZ88Lqc6r6w4pv-WJb5qXPJw65-a0SgSmZ5irAt6JCWL2FUrTc9nFIxEpWhHP6ax0kLGXFAzOt64wj5j4_lgDxsYxpAwdDbcaW0rIaPSA/w200-h200/lgs+march+2021.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-51616081389120437862021-02-21T21:00:00.001-08:002021-02-21T21:00:07.006-08:00COOKING UP CREATIONS: SCOOBY DOO WHERE ARE YOU?<p> And finally...these are my projects for <a href="http://www.cookinupcreations.net/forum/">Cooking Up Creations </a>for the month of February. This month's challenge was to create projects using a "Scooby Doo Where are you?" theme. I immediately thought of travel and these were my creations.</p><p><b>PROJECT 1: </b>This project features my younger daughter playing in her first soccer tournament of 2021 post broken leg in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Rather than use traditional soccer paper to create this project, I used a variety of papers from Echo Park's "Little Lumberjack" collection because I loved the mountain vibe. (As you can see in the picture, my daughter's team played on a field high up in the Smoky Mountains for one of their games). But I did make sure to use soccer ball cut outs to pull the theme of the project together. As an added twist, I also asked participants using my design as inspiration to feature a group picture somewhere on their project like I did of the team picture at the bottom of the layout.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifH-B_1xp63oY16mr4Bbx177I0r3ed2WQ_5mM7nQ5FsdR-zhULLme2oMRwcWYgVMwaxrMkiitEFeUomk-HTW9GQuOuJCskNwM5wf_Z4-PMLW3kC98pY27iCYkJ_xKFLzDlYZ3gV3Hw0XJ9/s816/cuc+gatlinburg+tourney+feb+13+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="816" data-original-width="812" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifH-B_1xp63oY16mr4Bbx177I0r3ed2WQ_5mM7nQ5FsdR-zhULLme2oMRwcWYgVMwaxrMkiitEFeUomk-HTW9GQuOuJCskNwM5wf_Z4-PMLW3kC98pY27iCYkJ_xKFLzDlYZ3gV3Hw0XJ9/s320/cuc+gatlinburg+tourney+feb+13+2021.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p><b>PROJECT 2: </b> For my second project, I was asked to feature a sketch layout along with the travel theme. Being in the height of an Ohio winter, I decided to dip into my archives of pictures of my daughter soaking up all the beauty of Costa Rica. In both of these pics, she had no clue I was taking her picture. After a very stressful high school experience, it was so wonderful to watch her relax and enjoy all the new experiences around her in Costa Rica. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Pink Paislee's "5th & Monaco" collection along with the below sketch.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI6CYyZVKtROpnHj-pqnZxMHvcL2ST6fNfutQIp2fG19osSdFWMpw4oVwxcF3CSx_f6Hu1ERCoifzo_a5gnHYw3UTI39XZdyVxKZxZeocDLCBnYbL1J_6l3R9Yii_Zn4sv3akkJd8fCM9Y/s832/cuc+loving+this+feb+22+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="832" data-original-width="826" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI6CYyZVKtROpnHj-pqnZxMHvcL2ST6fNfutQIp2fG19osSdFWMpw4oVwxcF3CSx_f6Hu1ERCoifzo_a5gnHYw3UTI39XZdyVxKZxZeocDLCBnYbL1J_6l3R9Yii_Zn4sv3akkJd8fCM9Y/s320/cuc+loving+this+feb+22+2021.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVLH3ao85dIZTYh3taMBvg8h6Kbke6bLSf0OHWRw4SK549D6u0MUN2bdWWq69j9RIiI-GAPgmD2VG6fXpw1UxrdeJbUsOgavqFoRCfkM-H8ngE0ZmPAMhMG9LoId2tJf1SpFdJ9CeHRIV9/s960/cuc+sketch+for+feb+22+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVLH3ao85dIZTYh3taMBvg8h6Kbke6bLSf0OHWRw4SK549D6u0MUN2bdWWq69j9RIiI-GAPgmD2VG6fXpw1UxrdeJbUsOgavqFoRCfkM-H8ngE0ZmPAMhMG9LoId2tJf1SpFdJ9CeHRIV9/s320/cuc+sketch+for+feb+22+2021.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-44852685148485272392021-02-21T14:23:00.003-08:002021-02-21T14:23:50.009-08:00SKETCHES IN THYME: JUST KEEP SWIMMING<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHmremF0H5soi18aV7yhR2sYzPb1bJwoG7gCC9MZgtFxHrQTKb6K4aCDaNxsS8pjEBR0e5f3_8EwGW8UFybLWdrEzx0drhyphenhypheniQsE2MVt7Bqjr-CKbSXpzNrQx3fsLa2sWi_85MHx-d_kl4a/s824/sit+feb+just+keep+swimming+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="824" data-original-width="821" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHmremF0H5soi18aV7yhR2sYzPb1bJwoG7gCC9MZgtFxHrQTKb6K4aCDaNxsS8pjEBR0e5f3_8EwGW8UFybLWdrEzx0drhyphenhypheniQsE2MVt7Bqjr-CKbSXpzNrQx3fsLa2sWi_85MHx-d_kl4a/s320/sit+feb+just+keep+swimming+2021.jpg" /></a></div>This is my latest project for <a href="https://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.com/">Sketches in Thyme </a>using the following sketch. My daughter rebroke her leg in September. After a traumatic injury and long healing process that occurred in 2019, the same leg in the same spot broke again in 2020. This time around, she had surgery where a titanium rod was inserted into her tibia to facilitate the healing. Literally, within three weeks, she was running. She is now back on the soccer field as fierce as ever. It was the most amazing recovery I have ever seen. This girl has more grit and strength than any person I know. She has had to push herself through so much physical and mental anguish. And she did. She "just kept swimming" like Dory sang on "Finding Nemo." As a result, I thought documenting her healing process would be the perfect subject matter for this project. To pull this layout together, I used a variety of blue and water themed papers from Bella Blvd. and a "Finding Nemo" sticker of Dory I've been saving for years for the perfect project.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgku3Lqki-RWhXvIFEPsu7JHvnfvkDvhtWvUOg3U9x8PZCCXSzZ-zV1MoEDlUNcC5lTC5gItxOtwy0q2AB-i8Szizr9Rv1zq-OzGStxfobeKD3zmc2zaFPd77qRyp5NfK-SuDQq14I4BIva/s2048/sit+feb+21%252C+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2042" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgku3Lqki-RWhXvIFEPsu7JHvnfvkDvhtWvUOg3U9x8PZCCXSzZ-zV1MoEDlUNcC5lTC5gItxOtwy0q2AB-i8Szizr9Rv1zq-OzGStxfobeKD3zmc2zaFPd77qRyp5NfK-SuDQq14I4BIva/s320/sit+feb+21%252C+2021.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-24322965914687292112021-02-21T14:15:00.000-08:002021-02-21T14:15:00.536-08:00LET'S GET SKETCHY: SNOW MUCH FUN<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNY-yxFp37PiCbdxINoO3lb7ijiFq6ZqZ8HZrrbiQd1910jgMEDyoWRJSDotwX9pqY74n8mjMcanmJg4A33_jQEkOKmRl9fJuY-tDDTeWQh1gDp53gJOyGbvhB14lLo1rzaEx8Dm34wcaA/s817/lgs+feb+winter+memories+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="815" data-original-width="817" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNY-yxFp37PiCbdxINoO3lb7ijiFq6ZqZ8HZrrbiQd1910jgMEDyoWRJSDotwX9pqY74n8mjMcanmJg4A33_jQEkOKmRl9fJuY-tDDTeWQh1gDp53gJOyGbvhB14lLo1rzaEx8Dm34wcaA/s320/lgs+feb+winter+memories+2021.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />This project is for the newest design team I joined in January called "Let's Get Sketchy." This DT is a sketch team where we create a project based on a monthly sketch. (Sketch found below for February). There is nothing I like more than a good sketch to create from, and this is what I came up with for my February project. My daughter and her BFF went to a ski resort in Indiana for the day. They had so much fun tubing. And of course my daredevil daughter came home saying, "I want to ski next time I'm there..." 😳 To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Echo Park's "Winter Magic" collection. I thought the blues in the paper were the perfect accent for the blue sky behind the girls.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPfscxhfqM4VYIY4PY4zruBjgEsLbXN5HsLM4l5pgvjWglXKXAzY8p4zRK60OgJX2I8_tfvQxPi9F52Urf2bI34aSO1MuMH_vxbcms-YkSKdh8nvM0cZ0FAaLEEH6X_ZdeJtYOoXLF5Vn7/s960/lgs+feb+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPfscxhfqM4VYIY4PY4zruBjgEsLbXN5HsLM4l5pgvjWglXKXAzY8p4zRK60OgJX2I8_tfvQxPi9F52Urf2bI34aSO1MuMH_vxbcms-YkSKdh8nvM0cZ0FAaLEEH6X_ZdeJtYOoXLF5Vn7/s320/lgs+feb+2021.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-64547130098254187782021-02-21T14:07:00.003-08:002021-02-21T14:07:49.092-08:00USE YOUR STUFF FEB 2021: HEARTS<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK2p9kPkY99QadBRXGwsyy9yZVbAh7QC_PQlokb_ktBdPwSj3vHVXwez0b2s2kp-qeusNOmCI-WhRxc20js1flZiVakr6jXeSZCi9DloXCgmg13xCcc3rkovidZQApvfsn1DFulAJ0pemT/s828/uys+i+adore+you+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="824" data-original-width="828" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK2p9kPkY99QadBRXGwsyy9yZVbAh7QC_PQlokb_ktBdPwSj3vHVXwez0b2s2kp-qeusNOmCI-WhRxc20js1flZiVakr6jXeSZCi9DloXCgmg13xCcc3rkovidZQApvfsn1DFulAJ0pemT/s320/uys+i+adore+you+2021.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />Team A's challenge at <a href="https://useyourstuff.blogspot.com/">Use Your Stuff</a> for the Month of January was to create a project using hearts. I knew EXACTLY what photo I wanted to use to make this happen. My German Shepherd is the most patient, loving little brother my girls could ask for. He is a willing model for any of their photo ideas. And this photo shoot involved him posing with heart shaped sunglasses on in my daughter's bedroom. I thought he would be the perfect subject matter for a heart themed project. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Authentique's "Best of Beloved" collection. The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-29876880218356886642021-02-21T14:02:00.003-08:002021-02-21T14:08:39.417-08:00CUC PROJECTS FOR JANUARY 2021: OUT WITH THE OLD<p>I've been MIA for a while...Life is getting very busy, but wanted to take a minute to update my blog with some of my latest projects. The theme for January at my design team <a href="http://www.cookinupcreations.net/forum/">"Cooking Up Creations" </a>was "Out with the Old." In other words, we were asked to dip into our stash and create projects using up what we already had. These were my takes:</p><p><b>TAKE 1:</b> This project was created from Bella Blvd's "CHRISTmas" collection. I've been looking for the perfect photo to showcase with this paper line, and I got my picture the day after Christmas this past year! My German Shepherd was chilling under the Christmas tree chowing on his bone he got for Christmas with his squeaky toys in a row behind him. He was in his element. I thought the colors of the paper would perfect accent this picture of my happy boy.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0olX6k0ECB47ksD38KpIiQ0Db-vgapzxUmwesGWXpkT6hYMO22yNy5QsF9txZKcOyAlQYDgTyRbS9ZfbKqGtNya1_yQGICGqOcmdoHKSUQ5WzqSWMPkUGPD5abTkqioGcNeDFisaJBh_O/s824/cuc+joy+jan+4+2021.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="822" data-original-width="824" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0olX6k0ECB47ksD38KpIiQ0Db-vgapzxUmwesGWXpkT6hYMO22yNy5QsF9txZKcOyAlQYDgTyRbS9ZfbKqGtNya1_yQGICGqOcmdoHKSUQ5WzqSWMPkUGPD5abTkqioGcNeDFisaJBh_O/s320/cuc+joy+jan+4+2021.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div><b>TAKE 2: </b>For this project, I used my all time favorite winter paper kit, "Snow & Cocoa" by Crate Paper. I love all the non-traditional colors this line uses for winter. And when you are the Mom of girls who wore a lot of pinks and purples when they played in the snow, the line is perfect to use to highlight pictures!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEREd3IOENQbNqicY68xEdn1BEN7-fbmfj8NVkv-6FcIGUVkZQJ8gHud-1N-v03pqR1XL7uRVfTv-YXviQOjDCPkixTf6KVhdyNScsSApBGYEtzwZkvqyD4s1Cv9Zq4r5XzysSdiI_0GZQ/s828/cuc+winter+jan+2021.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="822" data-original-width="828" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEREd3IOENQbNqicY68xEdn1BEN7-fbmfj8NVkv-6FcIGUVkZQJ8gHud-1N-v03pqR1XL7uRVfTv-YXviQOjDCPkixTf6KVhdyNScsSApBGYEtzwZkvqyD4s1Cv9Zq4r5XzysSdiI_0GZQ/s320/cuc+winter+jan+2021.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /><p><br /></p></div>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-45378494422297767132021-01-16T21:00:00.002-08:002021-01-16T21:00:02.808-08:00NO BRUISES NO GLORY<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFNJElot7WWBkogshfABhYiELelIJjZUAs4fRu_CesAFuHCta9W6IuOChRPIGcuIG029_6TSn6fLvDf_HwO58FaLFelcnqW-i5jqYkpwnxhbTudOd2KWbdF5WU3YSE2_fcPFW0sUZgAgJf/s816/sit+soccer+no+bruises+no+glory+jan+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="803" data-original-width="816" height="197" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFNJElot7WWBkogshfABhYiELelIJjZUAs4fRu_CesAFuHCta9W6IuOChRPIGcuIG029_6TSn6fLvDf_HwO58FaLFelcnqW-i5jqYkpwnxhbTudOd2KWbdF5WU3YSE2_fcPFW0sUZgAgJf/w200-h197/sit+soccer+no+bruises+no+glory+jan+2021.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br />This is my latest project for <a href="https://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.com/">Sketches in Thyme</a> using the following sketch. This is my latest project for <a href="https://useyourstuff.blogspot.com/">Use Your Stuff </a>created using the theme "Newly Acquired" as a guide. In other words, we were asked to create a project using something new we either recently purchased or received for the holidays. A few weeks back, I purchased Crate Paper's, "Hey Santa" line specifically for my 2020 Christmas pics which I used for this project. Sadly, I realized at the tail end of making my project that the stickers that matched my paper were misprinted...Where the stickers were cut didn't match up with the picture. So I had to get very creative and use a few embellishments from another Crate Paper Christmas line to complete the project. To pull this layout together, I was inspired by a sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls when designing this project.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwuPIy9ExyWcGG_oq3TtYk_9k03ONmcVyrRoAEvoLG7kvy5eQVJLGOdbUFBBW950fti1ecZMvcdypQpQAku-1ahMiKqH8tsU0UKXTFQtNw8C5xafqlTbDaIF-uQe3DS-9kBSBhy8Ecks4v/s564/2+broke+girls+pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="564" data-original-width="564" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwuPIy9ExyWcGG_oq3TtYk_9k03ONmcVyrRoAEvoLG7kvy5eQVJLGOdbUFBBW950fti1ecZMvcdypQpQAku-1ahMiKqH8tsU0UKXTFQtNw8C5xafqlTbDaIF-uQe3DS-9kBSBhy8Ecks4v/w200-h200/2+broke+girls+pic+4.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-27476352040300166102020-12-31T21:00:00.001-08:002020-12-31T21:00:08.494-08:00HAPPY NEW YEAR! This is my first project for the year, and my first for my new Design Team "Let's Get Sketchy." For this team, we create a project for an easy to follow sketch. This was my creation for the following sketch. When I saw the sketch, I was immediately taken by the fun vibe. I decided to feature pics of my daughter having a fun night of competitive Uno playing over the Thanksgiving holiday. My husband and I took our girls to Kill Devils Hill, NC this past Thanksgiving, and we had a blast doing jigsaw puzzles, coloring in adult coloring books, and playing Uno that eventually involved money and incredible amounts of laughter. I used a variety of scraps from my collection of Bella Blvd papers, my hexagon punch, and a few buttons to pull this project together.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6PmNYMrBpBENmvoXKUpgEcKQ9lg2aMgDK99eV22SODFUrdUpFqPFFzj5Fk3kUYlmZqoG1fHgyOlIwo2aQwc0ZNv_x_81hJSa70fYcUuLYJbBpyQM9hBIsCQAdFhyAJl5ho7AO0_EhAhHf/s960/lgs+jan+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6PmNYMrBpBENmvoXKUpgEcKQ9lg2aMgDK99eV22SODFUrdUpFqPFFzj5Fk3kUYlmZqoG1fHgyOlIwo2aQwc0ZNv_x_81hJSa70fYcUuLYJbBpyQM9hBIsCQAdFhyAJl5ho7AO0_EhAhHf/w200-h200/lgs+jan+2021.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br />The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-53911993798172788522020-12-25T21:00:00.013-08:002020-12-27T16:59:36.262-08:00DECEMBER MOOD BOARD PROJECTS FOR COOKING UP CREATIONSThis month at <a href="http://www.cookinupcreations.net/forum/">Cooking Up Creations</a> our theme revolved around mood boards. We were to find two different mood boards and create projects inspired by the colors, textures, objects, etc. found within the picture. For my first project, I was inspired by the following mood board. I loved the natural colors and the greenery and thought it would be fun to recreate on a project.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggUEdGA2eKznHPcY8e4UB5SRGHWJnZiVSdHrttJjIl8wQRip5gr_B7plQhrRtQJUZswSZkbARiEFsQekUxc0uuA9ligzmXfxlYjFW3SpY5KjqMT5KgCXEpC3EEBj47kb7ku8MBheDainNf/s996/my+xmas+mood+board+%25282%2529.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="996" data-original-width="740" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggUEdGA2eKznHPcY8e4UB5SRGHWJnZiVSdHrttJjIl8wQRip5gr_B7plQhrRtQJUZswSZkbARiEFsQekUxc0uuA9ligzmXfxlYjFW3SpY5KjqMT5KgCXEpC3EEBj47kb7ku8MBheDainNf/s320/my+xmas+mood+board+%25282%2529.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>And this is the project I made for the mood board. One of our favorite family traditions is to visit The Golden Lamb restaurant in Lebanon, Ohio. Unfortunately due to Covid, this year we had to miss our annual trip. So in honor of all the great times we have had eating Christmas dinner there, I featured this picture of my daughter at The Golden Lamb last year using the colors, patterns, and greenery from the mood board along with the Simple Stories "Winter Farmhouse" papers and embellishments collection to create this project.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyHxVsTuvSTseqldQwzijoX4D_htGtHoCwPjgLTTKiNCsfiUxV_lMLBkGtMZa7aoc8Nxhzvop0Pku7s7a4vSz7cy7QUX4IRMN3OdNQkM9MbskTtmCmeT7hOBTnQ87HH_dJdDSFSXbYe3-N/s820/cuc+winter+wonderland+dec+2+2020.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="820" data-original-width="815" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyHxVsTuvSTseqldQwzijoX4D_htGtHoCwPjgLTTKiNCsfiUxV_lMLBkGtMZa7aoc8Nxhzvop0Pku7s7a4vSz7cy7QUX4IRMN3OdNQkM9MbskTtmCmeT7hOBTnQ87HH_dJdDSFSXbYe3-N/w199-h200/cuc+winter+wonderland+dec+2+2020.jpg" width="199" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>For my second project, I was inspired by the following mood board. I'm the Week 3 leader at <a href="https://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.com/">Sketches in Thyme</a>, and one of my DT members was not able to make a project for the month, so I volunteered to two. Below is the Week 3 sketch. For my first project, I went full on Christmas. My dog loves his hippopotamus toys. Both of the toys squeak, and he carries them around everywhere he goes making a cacophony of sound. Nothing would probably make him happier than getting more hippopotamuses for Christmas! So using the song as a guide and a variety of Doodlebug Design Christmas papers, project 1, "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas.." came to life. For my second project, I was inspired by a recent trip my family & I took to Kill Devils Hill, North Carolina for Thanksgiving. It was so nice socially distancing for Thanksgiving at the ocean. We were in desperate need for beach therapy, and we got a wonderful dose of Vitamin Sea there.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPCSQLBkWhju0pmuacba7B2xYibyW6-AYlcAc1yasZrYK7mR1e4dm5Rg0oYdUFrXqhast4RRh-a1dEzqhSZsAvZTmyCJZIKfdkenm4PHbwBO_3PPcr6j47E1DnmgFUyM6c0pTuECeD32sT/s823/sit+thankful+dec+2020+part+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="820" data-original-width="823" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPCSQLBkWhju0pmuacba7B2xYibyW6-AYlcAc1yasZrYK7mR1e4dm5Rg0oYdUFrXqhast4RRh-a1dEzqhSZsAvZTmyCJZIKfdkenm4PHbwBO_3PPcr6j47E1DnmgFUyM6c0pTuECeD32sT/w200-h199/sit+thankful+dec+2020+part+2.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE2TQo5Z-VGdOyUFIxvKUf-qEJtB3bsh6R3OeIWpc6pmAxlh0SyMUFpFlFHBTproPIVAKydPbY6G_KaP0xcMKBKwEejYOS6vcY-kj21nAHvBXp45mX8j6hC8v3Lo1fO6ue7pOcJsNY29gO/s900/sketch+in+thyme+dec+21+2020+sketch.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE2TQo5Z-VGdOyUFIxvKUf-qEJtB3bsh6R3OeIWpc6pmAxlh0SyMUFpFlFHBTproPIVAKydPbY6G_KaP0xcMKBKwEejYOS6vcY-kj21nAHvBXp45mX8j6hC8v3Lo1fO6ue7pOcJsNY29gO/w200-h200/sketch+in+thyme+dec+21+2020+sketch.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p></p><div><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-53432881454705031342020-12-19T21:30:00.001-08:002020-12-19T21:30:02.573-08:00FESTIVE<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWWeni7sPu8aPQTs27yJqD3rfP6I3iGpwjwwH3_5vITlAcmflt0LMsgMV-OW4rvzQdblipqpxZDNU-PHdjeaq44qBANKfQwbMqpE1liVIDtAsN7LQnzevYEdBiygRILbJwjrxLPNzohGO-/s830/uys+festive+2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="830" data-original-width="827" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWWeni7sPu8aPQTs27yJqD3rfP6I3iGpwjwwH3_5vITlAcmflt0LMsgMV-OW4rvzQdblipqpxZDNU-PHdjeaq44qBANKfQwbMqpE1liVIDtAsN7LQnzevYEdBiygRILbJwjrxLPNzohGO-/w199-h200/uys+festive+2020.jpg" width="199" /></a></div>This was my December project for <a href="https://useyourstuff.blogspot.com/">Use Your Stuff </a>using the following mood board as a guide. Each month at the forum, we have a theme that inspires our projects. This month's theme was to create a project inspired by a "gathering" with a Peanuts theme. These are my 2 inspirations...</p><p><b>INSPIRATION 1:</b> Soccer Hair Don't Care</p><p>For this project, I used Charlie Brown's friend Pigpen as my inspiration and soccer as my "gathering." I loved my daughter's hair going crazy, messy directions in this project and thought she would be the perfect Pigpen inspiration for this project.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimH45mK8njg1KNcQZA8MZmZb8WCzNg9DuryF6RpqhSOyczcfOAmcne-IKSHD0082OQwooKyVHyhXDdAshSwY6FoUFh4fdV1uSuZAI3ds6IyUIYEyIXKexBrc3ZJFMVyvd5PYso-qTklmYD/s824/cuc+soccer+hair+don%2527t+care+nov+16+2020.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="820" data-original-width="824" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimH45mK8njg1KNcQZA8MZmZb8WCzNg9DuryF6RpqhSOyczcfOAmcne-IKSHD0082OQwooKyVHyhXDdAshSwY6FoUFh4fdV1uSuZAI3ds6IyUIYEyIXKexBrc3ZJFMVyvd5PYso-qTklmYD/w200-h199/cuc+soccer+hair+don%2527t+care+nov+16+2020.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><b>INSPIRATION 2: </b> Abbey Road </p><p><span>For this project, I was inspired by a picture of Peanuts characters walking like the Beatles did down Abbey Road. My favorite pictures to scrapbook are fall themed ones. So when I discovered this one that my daughter took with her BFF, I was on cloud nine. I love everything about this picture; the colors, the corn field backdrop...PERFECT fall themed page. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers and embellishments from Prima's "Autumn Sunset" collection.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd4-37SewYgzTlsmdOiQheVUVdrtOJgPK5w_VLCez47P-O3yE_LWaTafnCDeNLlfkIOauTDVO4lcKFQYlcztE2m8bHeOQgcnE6tRanmHqnYmyn7LweYdckV6LFOzeJKC0PrWIVU0qb_tcU/s800/sketch+in+thyme+nov+21+2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="800" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd4-37SewYgzTlsmdOiQheVUVdrtOJgPK5w_VLCez47P-O3yE_LWaTafnCDeNLlfkIOauTDVO4lcKFQYlcztE2m8bHeOQgcnE6tRanmHqnYmyn7LweYdckV6LFOzeJKC0PrWIVU0qb_tcU/w200-h200/sketch+in+thyme+nov+21+2020.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-7726962104605774842020-11-01T21:00:00.009-08:002020-11-01T21:00:06.824-08:00TRICK OR TREAT<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilzcnIHgY4b8uuPZ_EHxEw864TQWll50M3hH4itrZ0ueRDWSMXze0Hk40MDp_VfL-olH6Nn-k0fRYEvsrj0i2aU_WtwCbfWX1jRABIkjnCeeYS1I_nVrcx9_fjtVPAgck2BzZB_LWkkAVS/s820/uys+trick+or+treat+2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="820" data-original-width="819" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilzcnIHgY4b8uuPZ_EHxEw864TQWll50M3hH4itrZ0ueRDWSMXze0Hk40MDp_VfL-olH6Nn-k0fRYEvsrj0i2aU_WtwCbfWX1jRABIkjnCeeYS1I_nVrcx9_fjtVPAgck2BzZB_LWkkAVS/w200-h200/uys+trick+or+treat+2020.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br />Hello! This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff where the bi-weekly challenge starting today is to create a project using stripes. I love to create Halloween projects, and recently bought a fun Halloween themed kit from Peachy Cheap featuring Fancy Pants' "Halloween-Howl Collection." With the adorable cut outs and the playful paper designs, I decided to dip into my Halloween picture archives and feature pictures of my daughters carving their Halloween pumpkins when they were tiny girls. To pull this project together, I also was inspired by a sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFMrBXBSJ8hPJIYcEShrbNIbQEzsfGguIW-qY0ZiKL192japojORD5ageyvWkW4yAtXXdec9tgXP_gK5cgRvnpBzuP8gjagbp0qL3bsLB9rrVz8kZW8a12hFunqtXpwhC3pNg0PaPm8_CC/s400/2+broke+girls+pic+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="400" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFMrBXBSJ8hPJIYcEShrbNIbQEzsfGguIW-qY0ZiKL192japojORD5ageyvWkW4yAtXXdec9tgXP_gK5cgRvnpBzuP8gjagbp0qL3bsLB9rrVz8kZW8a12hFunqtXpwhC3pNg0PaPm8_CC/w200-h200/2+broke+girls+pic+5.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-39198504558524736562020-11-01T19:00:00.001-08:002020-11-01T19:00:01.871-08:00OCTOBER PROJECTS 2020<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8Y-5rjp8FYszNdjtmYgYksvhgZgTkxljzlOtjv7htwUp6lB0_Crp5tr574ISOlwu0NnhryO4MivdVuEbh6fuL02NxbN24Nsv6BP59egpb1d1xMJ5GL0pbYCOujfRJeydMW0yHa_E_9XY1/s828/sit+oct+21+2020+happy+halloween.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="827" data-original-width="828" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8Y-5rjp8FYszNdjtmYgYksvhgZgTkxljzlOtjv7htwUp6lB0_Crp5tr574ISOlwu0NnhryO4MivdVuEbh6fuL02NxbN24Nsv6BP59egpb1d1xMJ5GL0pbYCOujfRJeydMW0yHa_E_9XY1/w200-h200/sit+oct+21+2020+happy+halloween.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div>The month of October was rough...My daughter broke her leg a second time and had to have surgery. Long story short, I have not updated my blog with my October projects. Now that she is recovering, and I have some time and brain power, I am uploading a variety of projects I made for two design teams that I am a member of. The first layout I'm featuring is a project I made for Sketches in Thume. My favorite projects to make are Halloween themed projects, so I had a blast creating this layout of my daughter creating a Halloween gingerbread house using the following sketch. <span style="color: black;"></span></div><div><br /></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit4dnNA-TTfOZRxmtEhkIS-ZftpTiPse6_w1GZNz1A_twLGuLUBA5Wm4fknTu2PpHAJm7r0Wb6TIYR8BQxTtf-o4lbteWJng78C-EI5Tbj68V4rvzoY-2nI2awKjWBV8pOJKfmVU58jocR/s960/sketch+in+thyme+oct+21+2020+sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit4dnNA-TTfOZRxmtEhkIS-ZftpTiPse6_w1GZNz1A_twLGuLUBA5Wm4fknTu2PpHAJm7r0Wb6TIYR8BQxTtf-o4lbteWJng78C-EI5Tbj68V4rvzoY-2nI2awKjWBV8pOJKfmVU58jocR/w200-h200/sketch+in+thyme+oct+21+2020+sketch.jpg" width="200" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Add caption<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><span style="color: black;"><span style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGD88IWdJh_wrLZTuI6dZTKrTJHSBSJVGoOjBSGuEi9Uiehh7l13W-BILxDi0vGKWZrGEZGxt4s7tlBDFnY_idI736juo2yJw_ZVjTUhlfDYO1SH5apOAac_kpaj3aeS6nK1VgE9GAAQbN/s821/cuc+october+paper+pad+2+cards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; display: inline !important; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"> </a></span></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: black;">My next projects were for the design team Cooking Up Creations. This month's challenge was to attack</span> a paper pad in our stash and create 2 layouts and 4 cards using papers from the pad. I used a Vicki Boutin pad I bought at Hobby Lobby to create the following projects. This pad was so versatile; I loved working with it. Not only was I able to create a recent project of my daughter posing for a picture with our dog, but also I used a picture from when my girls were tiny operating a lemonade stand. The papers were perfect for all age levels and themes. These are definitely some of my favorite projects I've made this year.</div><div></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifj-9nD-0QG0olKYCEgyL3YBXcTdCwqQu1WiwtiyG_fVUg1F7avSDdi5rN5eJRJjiljXFeyjzEhdLymejptQXe9Y83WRUoob6Pi1ce_70VgS7FAKPDbkHWrabwrJMk9wi14nFrObipUdFo/s828/cuc+october+paper+pad+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="828" data-original-width="826" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifj-9nD-0QG0olKYCEgyL3YBXcTdCwqQu1WiwtiyG_fVUg1F7avSDdi5rN5eJRJjiljXFeyjzEhdLymejptQXe9Y83WRUoob6Pi1ce_70VgS7FAKPDbkHWrabwrJMk9wi14nFrObipUdFo/w199-h200/cuc+october+paper+pad+1.jpg" width="199" /></a></div><span> </span><span> </span></div><div><br /></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Znrh5BVdX74gM7AxnXJMOlozG1cO9vBLCeOVfT-C9qVxU1s4crSETBLkjjQoLaZfhj-6__iG8YmAeIYl8MHDfAU9N4yVX4Q2034nRePgGCcnDQhNB5vxQyhoKT4pCznH19nHt4Ym0sJm/s824/cuc+october+30+2020+layout+USE.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="824" data-original-width="823" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Znrh5BVdX74gM7AxnXJMOlozG1cO9vBLCeOVfT-C9qVxU1s4crSETBLkjjQoLaZfhj-6__iG8YmAeIYl8MHDfAU9N4yVX4Q2034nRePgGCcnDQhNB5vxQyhoKT4pCznH19nHt4Ym0sJm/w200-h200/cuc+october+30+2020+layout+USE.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /></div><br /><div><br /><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdwmZAXN5OBl21CuFLGMTzUxKfAprnU7e430P49miMT-RDsQKXV-tu2Met0ffRNXpr1TryIR0wFFyXIl1QlUWiFJ4Ija1IkrBuUNom2pshXD6Gd-9Uv3KGnE7l9qu_HVT_02-fKtCAY9uv/s821/cuc+october+paper+pad+2+cards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="292" data-original-width="821" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdwmZAXN5OBl21CuFLGMTzUxKfAprnU7e430P49miMT-RDsQKXV-tu2Met0ffRNXpr1TryIR0wFFyXIl1QlUWiFJ4Ija1IkrBuUNom2pshXD6Gd-9Uv3KGnE7l9qu_HVT_02-fKtCAY9uv/s320/cuc+october+paper+pad+2+cards.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMQR_nZLp-Yp1ixIlhYB4g9EMINW-4EDoA3kyCxfT5Ddy91Qnl670d80K9_tMNVCkBaHqM749_EXEBT0CqrFQ9T0WhM9jJDtgaxaoGZNEemwQ21kf4Ipm4x7O-XAYNQAXAEGS1i85gdJVb/s811/cuc+oct+30+2020+cards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="298" data-original-width="811" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMQR_nZLp-Yp1ixIlhYB4g9EMINW-4EDoA3kyCxfT5Ddy91Qnl670d80K9_tMNVCkBaHqM749_EXEBT0CqrFQ9T0WhM9jJDtgaxaoGZNEemwQ21kf4Ipm4x7O-XAYNQAXAEGS1i85gdJVb/s320/cuc+oct+30+2020+cards.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div><br /></div>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-6457093217174856172020-10-04T21:00:00.001-07:002020-10-04T21:00:09.201-07:00AHOY!<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSVFhsMnhDDrniMqZ0JT5k21x1li8tLdbZztzdyAn1t046t_cVFVd88Ngrl2THlo9D87eNtEBB_ayQ2_0nSMVICfyq91MOxKd4QgBadGbeKrSzNQqrMLqd1hrLm4BbTNy-8M1iCSZXvX5o/s828/ahoy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="818" data-original-width="828" height="235" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSVFhsMnhDDrniMqZ0JT5k21x1li8tLdbZztzdyAn1t046t_cVFVd88Ngrl2THlo9D87eNtEBB_ayQ2_0nSMVICfyq91MOxKd4QgBadGbeKrSzNQqrMLqd1hrLm4BbTNy-8M1iCSZXvX5o/w238-h235/ahoy.jpg" width="238" /></a></div><br />This is my latest project for <a href="https://useyourstuff.blogspot.com/">Use Your Stuff</a> where we were asked to create a project with a nautical theme. My oldest was intently concentrating on fishing while my youngest was intently giving her Dad her cheesiest smile. I'm running a little behind this month (even though we are only 7 days into the month) and decided to feature both of my <a href="http://www.cookinupcreations.net/forum/">Cooking Up Creations</a> projects in this post. Our theme this month is "You Spend me 'Round;" in other words, create projects that feature round themes. For my September 2 project, I decided to feature balls, specifically baseballs, in a scrapbook layout. My daughters were, at one point in their life, willing participants in all my picture taking endeavors. I took these of them horsing around on baseball statues when they were tiny little baseball fans watching their uncle's team play our local minor league time. To keep in line with the round vibe, I used a variety of baseball die cut stickers and baseball themed papers to play up the baseball mood. For my September 7 project, my "round" theme was wheels. This is one of my all time favorite pictures of my oldest daughter hailing a taxi cab in Chicago. To give it a round vibe, I used travel/car themed papers and chipboard wheels to highlight the content of the picture.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin3WP2dxPt3QGoNkN4wEodEzaknLVt_Jn-GPuhdVh_nM-Cg6pciEbADHcszkbb3X2NRUKXxIKAcjTAFRFDzvPvabyQ51r-04iD96TM8X6rlS2_4RLQSpxXirQqaugTO5zK_OMISLRV_kBl/s831/cuc+taxi+sept+7+2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="831" data-original-width="828" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin3WP2dxPt3QGoNkN4wEodEzaknLVt_Jn-GPuhdVh_nM-Cg6pciEbADHcszkbb3X2NRUKXxIKAcjTAFRFDzvPvabyQ51r-04iD96TM8X6rlS2_4RLQSpxXirQqaugTO5zK_OMISLRV_kBl/w199-h200/cuc+taxi+sept+7+2020.jpg" width="199" /></a></div><br /><p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-49037094692933095542020-09-07T00:00:00.000-07:002020-09-07T00:00:19.771-07:00HOWDY <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

When my girls were tiny, every fall we would take them to a local farm. Not only did they have a wonderful selection of pumpkins and other fall related items, but also they had a petting zoo that my daughter's loved to visit. My daughter's had so much fun petting and feeding all the animals. I loved this picture of my oldest loving on a horse. I thought she would be the perfect subject matter for a farmed theme project. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers and die cuts from Doodlebug Design's "Down on the Farm" collection. The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-21504728954290618822020-08-28T21:00:00.002-07:002020-08-29T06:03:11.611-07:00COACH<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqNkHx-BQgqv6E6qyPltB08ybRDKQEDTcJzZorrjge1YByNir4cixRAr9ohPp_adq-TuiVNUIS_HCk-yf_hjwzCq_ycr6fl1NgQYDAKjj7R-uKhcAOQwery61BG32EN8dNWCEsFCB47PXR/s825/cuc+coach+aug+29+2020.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="824" data-original-width="825" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqNkHx-BQgqv6E6qyPltB08ybRDKQEDTcJzZorrjge1YByNir4cixRAr9ohPp_adq-TuiVNUIS_HCk-yf_hjwzCq_ycr6fl1NgQYDAKjj7R-uKhcAOQwery61BG32EN8dNWCEsFCB47PXR/w200-h200/cuc+coach+aug+29+2020.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>This is my latest project for <a href="http://www.cookinupcreations.net/forum/index.php">Cooking Up Creations.</a> This month's challenge is to create a project using a television game show as inspiration. For my second project, I chose to create a layout based on the 1970's game show "Sports Challenge." Two professional athletic teams would compete against each other answering trivia questions. Winners would receive a cash prize that would be used to purchase athletic equipment for youth athletic programs. So for my project, I decided to feature my favorite youth athlete and her favorite soccer coach. This coach has been a God send to my daughter. Not only has she taught her a much about the game of soccer, but also helped navigate my daughter through her broken leg recovery. She is the best, and I thought she would be the perfect subject matter for a "Sports Challenge" challenge. To pull this project together, I used a sketch created by Bev Code for my former design team Creative Inspiration.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqy9DA3tDjxAv8p00TqfP6pRfS7M1AeEHseE42jQe0fCjmIEUP-CnZLoshupmWTP7HGuu-F1qSRyFZweNR9tvctX771K1icDth4LTpV4qqtrrcLLqvpYiYJeJ0XwKCt-V3nTpo2CPCNeSq/s200/ci+oct+6+2019.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="200" data-original-width="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqy9DA3tDjxAv8p00TqfP6pRfS7M1AeEHseE42jQe0fCjmIEUP-CnZLoshupmWTP7HGuu-F1qSRyFZweNR9tvctX771K1icDth4LTpV4qqtrrcLLqvpYiYJeJ0XwKCt-V3nTpo2CPCNeSq/s0/ci+oct+6+2019.jpg" /></a></div><p></p>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214758264903715528.post-52710408265678605052020-08-20T21:00:00.001-07:002020-08-20T21:00:05.804-07:00ALL PLAY ALL DAY<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOYQtMFOyaxDLjEGNae5zBgSvkmnwMnPD36_dYhiR7nCOP-fd_1rKsjVfm2lDefLPD8TV84HMuPnA0NTf9QP-5b6dGbSYZsyhmAYWxQpYtyGZYDYmp5CJZEa9b8z0_G4LxaL7zgMlBrp_D/s960/sketch+in+thyme+all+play+all+day+aug+2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="952" data-original-width="960" height="198" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOYQtMFOyaxDLjEGNae5zBgSvkmnwMnPD36_dYhiR7nCOP-fd_1rKsjVfm2lDefLPD8TV84HMuPnA0NTf9QP-5b6dGbSYZsyhmAYWxQpYtyGZYDYmp5CJZEa9b8z0_G4LxaL7zgMlBrp_D/w200-h198/sketch+in+thyme+all+play+all+day+aug+2020.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>This is my latest project for <a href="https://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.com/">Sketches in Thyme </a>using the following sketch. This month's challenge is to create a project based on a classic TV game show. For my project, I picked Hollywood Squares as my featured game show. Since the start of the pandemic, I've been walking a local nature trail almost every day and have seen amazing creatures. I've been taking so many pictures of cool things I see that I decided to feature 3 of my favorites using the June sketch from Sketches in Thyme as my guide. I thought the square layout would be perfect for a Hollywood Square themed project. To pull this project together, I used a variety of nature themed papers and earth tone colors to give the project a nature vibe.</div>The Paper Trailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14105100569687998454noreply@blogger.com0
