This is my latest double page layout for Let's Scrap. I was definitely inspired by the sketch, but attacked it in an entirely opposite way. A few weeks ago, my girls and nephew, who is currently obsessed with all things fire truck, visited my husband's fire house. For my daughters, it's a normal thing to check out the firetrucks (as seen on the right side of the page) since they have visited their Dad at work since birth. However, this was my nephew's first time, and he was absolutely giddy with his own fire hat and badge. Then...an actual emergency call happened, and the firetrucks got to leave. It was adorable watching him get so excited. So, instead of going flowers and scalloped edges as the sketch implies, I decided to go full on masculine complete with firetrucks, flames, brick walls, and diamond plate (what firemen call the silver metal on their trucks). I flipped the three horizontal sketches at the bottom, but other than that, I kept true to the design.

Stephanie this is such a fun take on the sketch. Love the theme and the feeling of drama with the colours you used.
